Selected a LED dice circuit schematic from online to create a physical model from
Composed mainly of a 555 timer, 4017 counter, resistors, and LEDs, all powered on 9V


How?
Designed the PCB traces in Fritzing
Printed the traces onto a copper board using special photocopier paper and acetone
Etched the design onto the copper board using a combination of chemicals
Drilled holes and soldered over 30 components to the exposed copper board
Results?
Reduced number of jumper wires by 33%
Built a functional portable LED dice with 0 errors in soldering or components
Learned a lot about the entire process of making a custom working PCB
Understood how to troubleshoot electronics using a schematic and multimeter
